Is your to-do list in your head? Are you able to sleep at night? Or do you find yourself lying awake with all the unfinished information from the day floating around up there? You need a method to keep track of your daily, weekly, and monthly To-Do List.
Here are just a few tips to help you get started and get those “I need TO-DO…” thoughts out of your head:
- Write everything you need to accomplish on one single list. Try to avoid having too many different notes or lists around since they can get lost or just confuse you more.
- Be specific about each item you add to your to-do list. Make sure you note the due date, person responsible, and maybe even where you will tackle each item (i.e. at home, at work, at grocery store).
- Cross off the tasks and to-do’s that you have completed. This simple, yet widely overlooked, step will help to provide you with a sense of accomplishment each day. Everytime you cross something off your list you can free up more of your mental space for something creative or fun! Pretty soon you might just have an empty list.
